The PLAN Program is a TRIO Student Support Services Program funded under a Grant from the United States Department of Education. PLAN stands for the Proactive Learning Assistance Network. Under the federal guidelines, students who are enrolled at Massasoit Community College may be eligible to participate in the Proactive Learning Assistance Network if they are: low income, first generation college attendees or have a documented disability. The goal of the program is to assist students with their academic and personal needs by providing an array of comprehensive support services.

The potential benefits of these additional services include better grades; improved chances of graduation; assistance with transferring to a four year institution to complete a bachelor's degree; more defined educational and career goals; and an enhanced academic experience. The Program is designed for students who have the academic potential to succeed but whose background and/or extenuating life circumstances place those students at additional risk of not fulfilling their educational goals.

The PLAN Suite is located on the ground floor of the Student Center in room 174, our extension is 1061. We'd be delighted to meet and talk with any one, student, parent, faculty or staff, who has a curiosity about or interest in the PLAN Project!

The PLAN Program has expanded to the Canton Campus. Our Canton campus office is located in room 118 and will be open every Monday and Tuesday from 8:30am to 2:30pm.
