An Introduction to Boating and Marine Trades
“Qualified students are eligible to receive a grant covering the full cost of the certificate program.”
All interested applicants age 16 and over are welcome!
This 45 hour course will provide an overview for marine technology, marine business management, and marine sales. Upon successful completion, participants will receive an industry recognized Massachusetts Marine Trades Association Certificate (MMTA). This credential provides an excellent basis for finding a job in the Marine Trades, as well as, a great start on the road to Marine Industry Certification!

Massasoit Community College is offering the three courses required for a 350-hour Marine Technician Certificate. This certificate was developed by the College in conjunction with the
MMTA. An industry-recognized MMTA Marine Technician Certificate, will be given to those successfully completing all three courses. Scholarships for the course are also available from the MMTA for qualified individuals.
